Dear Members,

We have learnt with great sadness that Paul has passed away.

Paul commenced his career in 1962 at HMS Conway, Merchant Navy Training School. In 1979, he joined the School of Maritime Studies Plymouth as a Lecturer. He contributed greatly to the University until 2014 in different roles having been appointed as Associate Director (Marketing and Outreach) of the Marine Institute in 2006.

Since his retirement in 2014, he has been a Visiting Fellow to the Plymouth University Marine Institute.

Paul has been a great supporter of PYNDA over many decades engaging with members new and old with his enthusiasm. In recent years, he has taken the lead in preparing the regular PYNDA  newsletters which kept members abreast of developments in and around the university.

He will be greatly missed. On behalf of PYNDA, we would like to extend our deep condolences to his family at this difficult time.
